On November 29, 2010, CE3C, MADT and the Illingworth Kerr Gallery (IKG) are proud to present the first event in Digital Alberta’s DigitalCultures Series: DigitalCultures001 – A Night of Digital Art and Culture. The evening begins with a digital showcase of Calgary-based artists and cultural producers from 6-8pm in the Main Mall at ACAD. Admission is FREE; there will be a cash bar.

The CIRO (Complex Input, Rational Output) research and development project presented a public presentation/showcase of the newly built multi-touch screens and research initiatives during CIRO DAY on September 29, 2010 at the CE3C. It turned out to be a great event with fantastic artist talks and visitors from diverse disciplines and institutions attending.

CE3C Presents Multitouch Event – CIRO Day

On Wednesday September 29th, CE3C will present a multitouch event from CIRO project, which we have been developing over a year to research and prototype software and multi-touch screen hardware for performance, visualization, exhibition and professional use.

Inviting a visiting artist in residence, Travis Kirton from the University of Art and Design Linz, who has been teaching Cocoa for Artists class for MADT 307/407 Programming for Artists class this month, we will introduce our project and potentials for artistic applications around emerging technologies, showcasing large multitouch screens we have developed.

Starting a New Semester with Cocoa for Artists Workshop!

Welcome back to school! As our new large multitouch screens are about to be running, we are pleased to start off the new semester with an exciting workshop: Cocoa for Artists Workshops with Travis Kirton.
Workshop takes place every Friday, starting from September 10, 2010. Travis will stay in CE3C for 3 weeks and conduct 4 workshops as a part of MADT 307/407 Programming for Artists class.
