About Myself
“For the story—from Rumpelstiltskin to War and Peace—is one of the basic tools invented by the mind of man, for the purpose of gaining understanding. There have been great societies that did not use the wheel, but there have been no societies that did not tell stories.” by Ursula K. Le Guin
Most of my works relate to story telling. Ever since I was little I have been thrown between multiple cultures; especially eastern and western; and because of that I learned to see our world in different point of views. For example, how we develop our cultures, the way we are and how these developments engage with our past, present and future. There are philosophical and psychological elements within my stories, and I express my multicultural experiences through as many medias as possible; such as photography, animations and music videos.
Another important media in my works is drawings. Among all means of communication, drawing is the one universal language that crosses cultural differences. Since I have some hard times learning a second and third language myself, I always look for methods that help me with the difficulties with words. What concept can my drawings express, and what stories they can tell to my audiences? These are the topics I am working on right now.
