Under the expert guidance of poetry/performance expert Kathleen Brown, two Madt 101 classes were split into four groups.
Group 1: Allyson Cikor, Faya Shiah, Trent Redmond, Brandynn Pope, Janay Baade
Group 2: Eric Makwich, Greg Turnbull, Sara Rennie, Zachary Carr, Jared Last
Group 3: Satar Jolie, KaleĀ Chalifoux, Mathew Vickery, Joey Larson, Gladzy Zuniga, Brook Webster
Group 4: Josh Saunders, Miranda Lowe, Diana CotaElizondo, Stephanie Leung, Spenser Wain
Starting with the Audio/Poetry piece Le Dernier Cri Zen For Ten by Cia Rinne,(Le_Dernier_Cri_Zen_For_Ten_Master44.1Khz_2min_170811_forINTERNET), each group was challenged, in 20 minutes, to produce a text based translation interpreting the sound work. This work was exchanged with another group who, over two hours, produced a video translation of the text piece. The video piece was then exchanged with another group who, over one hour, prepared a performance translation. The results are below:
