I’ve always had a passion for art. I’ve experimented with many types of mediums that were available to me. And from that I’ve learn what I can and can’t do, as well as what I hate or like. My strongest art form would be work with ink and markers. I just finished my first year of art school and learned many new things. I have improved some of my previous skills as well as gained new ones. Art has always been a big part of my life and I hope to find a great career in the art field.

WARNING GLOBALIZATION THREAT:
Mural:
Â
Â
Warning, Globalization threat was an appropriation project. We took a quote and turned it into a wall mural, then took that wall mural and created and video and audio piece.
——————————————————————————————————————-
After finding a quote that was about globalization and technology, it was our job to turn that quote into a wall mural. This was a group project and we managed to find a quote that basically stated how large a role technology has in our lives, yet it doesn’t affect a large part of the population. We managed to turn this quote into an invasion theme; the invaders being technology. Then from this mural I had to make a sound piece and short video. I hoped that the viewer got the impression that the main point of the video or mural is that technology is seen as a part of globalization. And that it seems to be invading the world little by little.

Video: Threat of Globalization
Threat of Globalization is the video part of the appropriation project. The video has been created around the sound piece I have created, which is also featured in the video.

QUESTION OF ORIGINALITY:
Question of Originality was a remix project where we had to look and culture and society as a remix. With this project I made a video and audio piece.
——————————————————————————————————————-
I took a look at how much of today’s society is remixed. Not only music, but culture and other parts of our lives are a remix or remade into something better suited for people today. I decided to look at the entertainment part of our lives, such as music and movies that have been remade throughout the generations. And to question whether or not there is really and true originality in anything made anymore. I decided to create a poster using Photoshop and create a sound piece out of remixes of one song. Then I combined them together in a short video. By doing this I hoped to show that when it is thought about, there really isn’t much that is 100 percent original. But that even a remix is technically original even if it’s just a different version of something else.

SMILES AND GHOSTS:

Smiles and Ghosts, was a quick programming project. We had to learn how to make   these small animations better known as Gifs.
———————————————————————————————————————-
These were short projects I finished rather quickly. I had fun experimenting with these; I never tried to make Gifs before. They might not hold a lot of context but they reflect somewhat of who I am. With the ghost one, I was trying to create that creepy atmosphere, not that it’s very successful through a Gif. These pieces were really more for fun and experimentation than anything else. I tried to play with colors that would fit these quick animations. With the smile one I had fun with the opposite emotions, a happy and sad face, making a nice contrast.

FOO FIGHTERS:
Foo Fighters, was another programming project. We had o build an App about one of our favorite bands. It was also a branding project so we had to make the App fit the band.
———————————————————————————————————————
I found programming to be a difficult thing to learn and accomplish and actual project with it. For this project we had to create an App for one of our favorite bands. Using different images from Google, we had to take them and program a functioning app for our band. I ended up creating a simple app that displayed all of the band members, as well as the instrument they play. I made it this way so that it worked as an information piece for the viewer. I feel this turned out rather successful considering how difficult I found programming to be.

The works featured above are my own personal work I complete in my spare time. I've always been interested in creating these strange types of characters. Though I haven't decided what I want to do with these yet. I think it would be interesting to get into character design or illustration. I've always preferred drawing as a form of art, and because of that it has become my strongest art form. All the pictures above are hand drawn with black ink pen and then colored with Prisma markers. There isn't much meaning behind these works, they are simply just the type of work I enjoy creating the most. And will probably always enjoy creating.
